ياما وياما خطينا وياما عصينا الله
For so long we have continued disobeying Allah
ياما وياما نسينا إنّا عبيد لله
For so long we have continued to forget that we’re Allah’s servants
نخطي بلا خوف ووجل
We sin without fear or worry

We don’t have an ounce of shame within us
نعصي بلا خوف ووجل
We sin without fear or worry
مافينا شي من الخجل
We don’t have an ounce of shame within us
ماكن شيء منّا حصل
We carry on as if we’ve done nothing wrong
ما أقسى القلوب والله!

أستغفر الله
I seek Your forgiveness, O Allah!
من رحمة الله بينا إن الحساب بعدين
It’s from Allah’s mercy on us that the Reckoning is later
ما يعني هذا بيدينا نخطي ونتوب بعدين
But that doesn’t mean that we sin repeatedly while saying: we’ll repent later!
خوفي بوافينا الأجل واحنا ملهينا الأمل
I fear that our time will come, while we are running after false hopes
ساعتها ماينفع عمل
When that happens nothing more can be done
رحماك يا الله
O Allah, grant us Your mercy!
أستغفر الله
I seek Your forgiveness, O Allah!
